Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject unconventional fabric having enough mechanical properties when wearing and excellent in ultraviolet translucency.
SOLUTION: The fabric for garments is characterized by being based on an aliphatic polyester fiber composed of L-lactic acid and/or D-lactic acid as the main recurring unit (s) and having a tenacity of ≥2 cN/dtex and boiling water shrinkage of 0-15%, and also characterized by being ≤1.0 Abs in the maximum value of absorbance within the wavelength range of 290 to 390 nm.
