In this fabric for the horizontal belt filter having a two-layer structure obtained by weaving a top side weft for forming a top side layer and a traveling face side weft for forming a traveling face side layer with warps, the top side surface is constituted of a warp longcrimp formed by passing on the upper side of four or more continuous top side wefts and a warp potential part passing under the lower side of the 1-4 top side wefts. At least a part of the warp latent part is passed under the lower side of one or two traveling face side wefts to weave the top side layer and the traveling face side layer, a warp longcrimp is formed on the top side surface and a weft longcrimp is formed on the traveling face side surface to give the objective fabric for the horizontal belt filter.
