Abstract:

To provide a fabric member for a ceremony for washing a dead body with hot water, which is capable of keeping its function even when water (hot water) is used as well as covering the dead body on its back so that its skin or body shape could not be seen from outside, and capable of producing at a lower cost suitable for single-use.

The fabric member for a ceremony for washing a dead body is the one for covering the dead body on its back except its face and toes at least during the ceremony to wash the dead body with hot water. The fabric member is made of a nonwoven fabric whose weight is 100 g/m2≤250 g/m2. The nonwoven fabric is made of a 100% polyester chemical fiber, for example, and coloring is applied all over the towel or on a part of it, for example, on its surface coloring with light blocking effect or nontranslucent coloring is applied. Also a plurality of cherry blossoms and their petals are transfer-printed on the colored surface.
