Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely press a fabric after the change of its thickness even when the thickness of the fabric is changed by forming a lower belt with a flexible elastic material in a pressing machine inserting the fabric between a pair of the upper and lower belts and hot-pressing it.
SOLUTION: A pair of the upper and lower belts 24, 27 are arranged face to face at the prescribed gap 28, and the belts 24, 27 are traveled and rotated in the directions of arrows by motors, respectively. A pair of heaters 31, 32 corresponding to the belts 24, 27 are arranged face to face above and below the gap 28. When a fabric 30 is moved in conjunction with the travel and rotation of both belts 24, 27, heat is applied to the fabric 30 by the heaters 31, 32, and the fabric 30 including the folded sections of sides is hotpressed. The lower belt 27 is formed into a two-layer structure stuck with a base material 27a having the prescribed thickness and an elastic material 27b thicker than it, and the elastic material 27b is formed with felt made of Aramid fibers excellent in flexibility, resilience, and heat resistance.
