To provide a fabric and protective equipment excellent in not only flame resistance but also breathable waterproofness, windproofness and wearing comfortability.SOLUTION: A fabric having a single-layered woven fabric structure, a thickness of 0.3 mm or less, a permeability of 10 cc/cm2/sec or less, a water pressure resistance of 200 mmH2O or more, a moisture vapor permeability of 200 g/m2 h or more, and a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 26 or more is produced from a yarn containing a flame retardant fiber.SELECTED DRAWING: None
