Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fabric for sportswear having comfortableness satisfying quick drying properties after perspiration and hygroscopicity in the perspiration by applying chitosan and specific ultrafine particulate zinc oxide to a fabric.
CONSTITUTION: This fabric for sportswear is obtained by applying 0.001-5.0 pts.wt. chitosan and 0.01-2.0 pts.wt. ultrafine particulate zinc oxide having 0.005-0.02μm average particle diameter to 100 pts.wt. fabric using a core-sheath type complex yarn which is a spun yarn having a multilayered structure of the innermost layer containing staple fibers (e.g. polyester fibers) having <1.0 denier size, the outermost layer containing hydrophilic staple fibers (e.g. cotton) and an interlayer containing hydrophilic staple fibers and hydrophobic staple fibers having 1.0-1.5 denier size in preferably at least a part thereof. The resultant fabric is capable of retaining quick drying properties after perspiration, suitable hygroscopicity in the perspiration and the pH on the skin surface and excellent in comfortableness.
