PURPOSE: To obtain a product having water absorbing property and wiping and cleaning capability by using polyester fiber, which contains macromolecular polyoxyalkyleneglycol and sulforic acid metallic salt derivative, as principal constituent fiber.
CONSTITUTION: Fabric for wiping cloth is polyester fiber which contains macromolecular polyoxyalkyleneglycol, whose average quantity of molecules is 800, by 0.2-10.0wt.% and sulforic acid metallic salt derivative by 0.1-5.0wt.%, and flat section polyester fiber, in each of which the flatness L/W of fiber sectional shape is 1.5-15 (where, L = maximum length of the fiber section, and W = maximum width), or heteromorphic section polyester fibers, where the sectional form of each fiber has at least one recess and for the recess, d/l is 2 or less when the shortest distance which connects both ends of an inlet is defined as d and the distance from the entrance to the deepest point is defined as l, are used as principal constituent fiber. And the constituent fiber is polyester fiber wherein the value of percentage of water hold after washing is 14% or more.
