Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject fabric capable of diffusing absorbed water in a specified direction, and suitably usable e.g. as a sheet not getting wet to a part corresponding to the shoulder even in case of running incontinent or such a hair band that sweat absorbed does not enter the eye(s).
SOLUTION: This fabric with two-layer structure is composed of fibers ≥1 denier in single fiber fineness for one direction, while composed of two kinds of fibers one being ≥1 denier and the other ≤0.5 denier in single fiber fineness, respectively, for the other direction. This fabric has a percentage of water absorption of ≥80 wt.% and the water diffusion anisotropy ratio in the warp and weft directions of ≥1.5.
