To make a long ladder in an optional length available by a method wherein ladders each having stepping rails provided in a multiple stage between a pair of vertical parallel studs and usable as a single short-sized ladder are connected and combined with one another in an optional number, and to improve therewith efficiency in transportation of the ladders to a work site for such a work of cleaning building walls and also to improve efficiency, quality and safety in execution of works at the work site.
A short-sized ladder frame 4 made up by providing transversely a plurality of stepping rails 3 between vertical studs 2 has resting parts 5 for leaning against a building wall 18 at the upper ends of its vertical studs while being equipped with mutual connecting parts 6 each having a grounding plate 8 at the lower ends of the studs. The grounding plate 8 which can be raised and fallen is turnably provided at the trunk part 7 of the mutual connecting part 6 for accepting the upper end 2a of the vertical stud 2 of a fabricated ladder 1 to be connected together. The grounding plate 8 serves as a foot for the ladder 1 when being turned to take a raised position, and when being turned to take a fallen position, the lower end of the trunk part 7 is opened and the vertical studs at the upside and the downside are mutually connected together.
