Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fabrication method of a ferrite core for an erasing magnetic head having stabilized head characteristics with reduced variations.
CONSTITUTION: A method of fabricating a ferrite core for a magnetic head with stabilized magnetic head characteristics is adapted such that upper and lower surfaces are rounded upon formation of the ferrite core for a magnetic head and a polishing margin 1 is provided whereby slanting polishing is prevented from being produced upon polishing a sintered product f having the polishing margin 1 irrespective of the production of burr 2, and variations of magnetic field formation area of a gap are eliminated.
