Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face detection device capable of improving precision of image detection by performing image recognition while changing the gain of an output of an image sensor every predetermined period.SOLUTION: The face detection device comprises: a face detector which performs image processing of a captured image from the image sensor and detects a face in the captured image; and an image sensor controller which varies the gain of the image sensor every predetermined period. The face detection device forcefully varies the brightness of a face portion in the captured image from the image sensor to enable the face detector to detect the face.
