Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and simply execute the highly accurate correction of a face image by preparing plural correction candidate face images of which similar levels for a required face are respectively different, displaying these images on the screen of a monitor and selecting the optimum image as a correcting face image.
SOLUTION: A required face is determined and plural correction candidate face images of which similar levels for the required face are respectively different are prepared by simulating an original face image to the required face image by picture processing and a corrected face image is selected from these correction candidate face images. Specifically, important parts such as eyebrows, eyes, a nose, a mouth, and the lines of highlight areas are plotted for each of the original face image M and the required face T. For instance, a nose top part is expressed by 0, eye lines are 1-2, 3-4 and eyebrows are 5-6, 7-8. These points on the original face image M are moved to corresponding points of the required face T by a morphing program.
