PURPOSE: To obtain a face lotion effective for preventing pimple having no skin irritation because of a small amount of an antiseptic blended, not causing oiliness owing to a small amount of a polyhydric alcohol blended, comprising a specific ampholytic surfactant.

CONSTITUTION: This face lotion comprises preferably 0.1-5wt.% based on a face lotion composition of a 2-(N-alkyl-N,N-dimethylammonio)ethyl phosphate [preferably 2-(N-hexadecyl-N,N-dimethylammonio)ethyl phosphate]. The face lotion is preferably subjected to pH adjustment so as to make 5% aqueous solution have pH3-11.
