To realize a face-mounted video display system for medical application in which plural image data including endoscope images under an endoscope operation, past endoscope images and biopsy results are selected and simultaneously displayed.
When information, which is used to retrieve and select prescribed endoscope images and biopsy information, is inputted from a keyboard 32, that is connected to an FMD 31 and is an image retrieval and selection instructing means, images in an HD of an image filling device or images in a server are retrieved and selected by an image synthesis section 45 in the FMD 31, the images retrieved and selected are recorded in an image memory 44 or a RAM 36 in the FMD 31, synthesized by the section 45 and the synthesized images are displayed on a liquid crystal monitor 47 through a liquid crystal monitor controller 46.
