PURPOSE: To simply disinfect and wash a jaw rest by mounting a disinfecting and washing member relatively moving with respect to the jaw rest on which the jaw of an examinee is placed to disinfect and wash the jaw rest.

CONSTITUTION: A rail 11 is provided to the inside lower part of a jaw receiving member 7 and a cartridge 12 is mounted along the rail 11 in a freely movable manner and both ends of respective rollers 13 are suspended from a support rod 14 through bearings and the respective rollers 13 are always pressed to a jaw rest 8 by springs 16. A belt like disinfecting and washing member 17 is wound so as to surround these rollers 13 and can be easily replaced by detaching the rollers 13. The member 17 comes into contact with an antiseptic solution supply member 18 impregnated with an antiseptic solution to always supply the antiseptic solution and the member is replenished with the antiseptic solution through an antiseptic solution replenishing hole 19. When an examiner entends his hand to move the cartridge 12 along the rail 11 is left and right directions, the member 17 moves in a state brought into contact with the surface of the jaw rest 8 under pressure to disinfect and wash the surface of the jaw rest 8.
