To provide a face-to-face type built-in kitchen capable of preventing the overhanging portion of a top plate from bending by its own weight in a well-harmonized simple structure without deteriorating its appearance.

The built-in kitchen comprises reinforcing members (8) for supporting the overhanging portion of the top plate (6), and a covering member (10) extending over the whole width of the built-in kitchen to completely cover the reinforcing members and prevent the same from being exposed. The reinforcing members are spaced from each other widthwise, while the covering member has a shape of a flat plate provided between the tip end portion of the top plate and a prescribed height of a rear panel. In addition, illuminating units (13 to 17) are provided at the covering member or in adjacent to the covering member.
