Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an adaptive filter system to converge noise or feedback suppressing capability over a selected frequency band.
CONSTITUTION: The noise/feedback suppressing device processes an input audio signal 120 having both a preferable component and an undesirable component. This device is provided with a 1st filter 270 operationally coupled to the input signal and generates a reference signal 275 to be concentrated by selectively passing the audio spectrum of input signal mainly containing the undesirable component. The reference signal is sent to an adaptive filter 110 arranged for filtering the input signal in order to apply an adaptive filter output signal. A coupling circuit network generates an error signal by removing the adaptive filter output signal from the input signal. Besides, a 2nd filter 310 is further provided for selectively passing the audio spectrum of error signal through the adaptive filter so as to practically cover the spectrum of undesirable component in the input signal.
