Abstract:

To provide a pipe cutting facility having high cutting efficiency and its method.

The steel pipe cutting facility 1 has a plurality of cutting machines 9 for cutting a steel pipe 3a, an input side table 5 for carrying in the steel pipe 3a to the cutting machines 9, and an output side table 6 for carrying out the steel pipe 3a cut by the cutting machines 9. The cutting machines 9, the input side table 5, and the output side table 6 have a plurality of conveying rollers 10, 13, and 16 for conveying the steel pipe 3a. The conveying rollers 10 and 13 in the cutting machines 9 and the input side table 5 are provided with driving motors 11 and 14 capable of mutually independently controlling rotation speed and sensors 12 and 15 for detecting the position of the conveyed steel pipe 3a.
