To provide a facility for thermal decomposition and melting, which reduces fuel consumption of auxiliary fuel.
A thermal decomposition and melting facility 1 is constituted such that a thermal decomposition gas discharging duct 3 with a high thermostability dust collector 4 being inserted therein, is permitted to communicate, from a fluidized bed thermal decomposition and gasification furnace 2, with a secondary combustion chamber 52 of a revolving current melting furnace 5, that a thermal decomposition gas branch duct 9 with a hot air generating furnace 12 being inserted therein is permitted to communicate, from the downstream side of the dust collector 4 in the duct 3, with a wind box of the furnace 2, and that char containing ash in the thermal decomposition gas recovered by the dust collector 4 is supplied to a melting chamber 51 of the furnace 5. In such a constitution, it is no longer necessary to raise the temperature of the entire thermal decomposition gas containing a large quantity of moisture up to 1200°C or more in the melting chamber 51, and hence consumption of auxiliary fuel can be reduced.
