PURPOSE: To make a fascimile receiver connectable to a telephone set, even if the said device is at the automatic receiving mode, by providing an incoming signal information detecting means to the facsimile receiver.

CONSTITUTION: In case of the automatic receiving, a switching control section 8 controls a switch box with a switch 9 of the facsimile receiver 3 and arranges contacts at the position as shown in solid lines. A receiving section 7 is operated and the receiver is connected to a calling side by transmitting a call signal from a calling side telephone set 5 for the purpose of call in this state. The calling party operates a push-button of the telephone set 5 to input a code calling a called party telephone set. The receiver 3 discriminates the code at a discriminating section 6 and outputs a detecting signal to a switch control section 8. The switching control section 8 energizes a speaker 6a to call the operator. The operator operates a switch 9 while hooking up a handset of a telephone set 1. Thus, a switch 2 is changed over to the telephone set 1.
