PURPOSE: To avoid non-response state and also to improve the quality of man- machine interface by giving a voice guidance signal to a operator even if a facsimile device is not in the automatic reception state.
CONSTITUTION: When the facsimile device 1 is not in the automatic reception state, even if a call signal is transmitted from a network control unit 4, no signal to be identified is detected after a regulated time is elapsed and a signal representing that state is fed to an electronic computer 5. Then the electronic computer 5 outputs the voice guidance signal from a voice synthesis output section 5C and this signal is fed to the facsimile device 1 via a voice amplifier section 6C, the network control unit 4, and a public communication line 3. This signal allows the voice guidance to be generated from a speaker of the facsimile device 1 to allow the operator to take a proper action thereby causing the start of the facsimile procedure.
