Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an image having some region lost from being transmitted when transmitting a document placed on a document placement part by facsimile.SOLUTION: An MFP 101 detects a size of a document placed on a document placement part (S601), and determines whether to transmit the document by facsimile with a main scanning direction and a sub scanning direction reversed. When facsimile manual transmission or direct transmission is performed (yes at S703), the facsimile transmission is performed (S712 to S715) while the document is read after capability exchange with reception-side facsimile transmission. Further, when the main scanning direction and sub scanning direction of image data are reversed in the facsimile transmission, an actual document size is calculated in document conveyance, and it is determined whether an actual document size is larger than the detection size (S904 to S906). When the actual document size is larger than the detection size, the facsimile transmission is quit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
