Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cover page transmission time by confirming whether or not the cover page information is receivable by a preset cover page information transmitting procedure, thereby transmitting the cover page by code data according to the situation.
SOLUTION: A G3 facsimile control part 14 monitors whether or not the facsimile equipment of an opposite party is connected. When connection with the opposite party is confirmed, a DIS signal from the facsimile equipment of the opposite party is checked, and an opposite party performance confirming means analyzes information set in a DIS signal to confirm whether the facsimile equipment of the opposite party is capable of receiving cover page information by a cover page information communication procedure. When cover page information can be set, to the signal data long the of a characteristic, cover page information is transmitted as it is after executing a standard G3 transmission control means to the middle of it.
