PURPOSE: To surely invalidate the facsimile communication received from an undesired outgoing side.

CONSTITUTION: The data on the TSI(transmitting terminal identification) signal received from the outgoing side are temporarily stored in a RAM 3 in a facsimile reception mode. Then, a register key 9 is operated before the next incoming if the communication is not desired with the outgoing side that transmitted the picture data after the received picture data printed on the recording paper are checked. Thus, a CPU 1 sets and registers the data on the TSI signal which are temporarily stored in the RAM 3. Thereafter, if the incoming received from the outgoing side having the TSI signal is detected, the CPU 1 interrupts the facsimile communication with the outgoing side or performs the dummy reception to invalidate the facsimile communication with the outgoing side.
