When this facsimile equipment receives an incoming call (S1), a destination memory stores a telephone number of an opposite party (S2) and an operation display section displays the destination. Thereafter, the facsimile equipment enters a usual reception operation after receiving the incoming call and receives an original (S3). The result of the reception is received from a communication control section and reply data in responce to the result are fetched from a transmission data storage section (S6). The transmission data storage section stores the reply data in advance in the case of a reception error and in the case of successful reception. The facsimile equipment transmits the reply data to the destination stored in the destination memory (S9).
