Abstract:
PURPOSE:To synthesize picture data to be sent by ORing picture data to be read from first and second reader parts in the unit of correspondent picture element on the arrangement of the picture elements, and sending the data to a data compression part. CONSTITUTION:When a switch SW2 of a read control part 14 is changed over to a contact (a) and a contact C of a switch SW3 is opened, copy function can be obtained between data reader parts 11 and 12. The function of the data synthesization can be obtained by changing over the switch SW2 to a contact (b) and closing the switch SW3 and the picture data, for which the logical sum of the picture data from the reader parts 11 and 12 is calculated, are sent to a compression part 13. Thus, when the synthesized contents of contents described in two originals are desired to be sent and there are the two source originals, the original can be read from the respective reader parts and the original of the synthesized contents is not needed. Then, the facsimile communication can be conveniently used.
