PURPOSE: To allow the facsimile equipment to be connected even to a telephone line to which a telephone number able to use the catchphone service is assigned by providing a means eliminating a catchphone signal mixed in a picture data and correcting the data into a picture data without disturbance.

CONSTITUTION: When reception information reaches from a destination via a telephone line 5, an NCU 4 and a MODEM 7, a control section 1 drives a recording section 8 to record reception information and to implement the reception. A band pass filter 22 filters a picture data in which a catchphone signal is mixed to eliminate the catchphone signal and passes the corrected picture data. Since the recording section 8 makes printout by using the correction picture data obtained in this way, a recording picture without disturbance is formed.
