PURPOSE: To provide the facsimile equipment which can allow an external printer device to execute easily as proxy for printing, even when a printer of the facsimile equipment becomes such an error state as a paper jam, ink run-out, no paper, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The facsimile equipment 1 has units such as a color printer part 11, etc., and a controller 14 for controlling an operation of the whole equipment by transmitting and receiving data from these units, and also, is provided with an interface 15 to a personal computer 50, an interface 16 to a printer device 30, a selecting means 17 for distributing the data of both these interfaces 15, 16, and a printer selection switch 18 for switching the selecting means 17. In such a state, in the case the color printer part 11 becomes unprintable due to a fault generated in the course of printing, the printer device 30 executes as proxy for a printing operation by switching the selecting means 17.
