PURPOSE: To inform of error contents by providing a storing means including a document main body storing file and a means which informs the facsimile transmission result and informing a requester of the facsimile transmission result.

CONSTITUTION: When the facsimile output requested by a user 21 is normally complete, a facsimile server 3 transmits the sensing result of the outgoing electronic mail information 19 of the user 21 stored in a control file 9 via a document control part 8 of a host computer 2. If the facsimile output is abnormally complete, the contents of this error are sent to the computer 2. The part 8 receives an electronic mail and stores the document information into the incoming electronic mail information 20 on the user 21 and also stores the error contents into a document main body file 10 respectively. Then the user 21 gives an instruction through a keyboard 24 to show the information 10 on a display 6 in order to know the error of the transmission result and also the type of the error.
