PURPOSE: To easily initialize lots of undesired tables and files and to facilitate a maintenance by grouping each file of picture information and a table for management control in matching with a level for object or application and managing the table and file corresponding to the grouping.

CONSTITUTION: Each file of picture information and a table for management control are grouped in matching with a level for object and application and they are managed corresponding to the grouping. When an original is sent from a facsimile terminal equipment 1 and identification information designating the group is added, a management means stores and manages an arrived original as the file of a corresponding group according to the identification information and various kinds of the information attended with the management is managed by the table corresponding to the grouping, and on the other hand, in the case of the maintenance, when an initialize command by the group designation is given, an initialize means initializes all the contents in an object group by the command. Thus, undesired files and tables are initialized integrally by the group designation.
