Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce an inconvenient charging by detecting whether or not an original is set at a facsimile terminal, and stopping a transmitting function when the original is not set.
CONSTITUTION: A facsimile 1 for a public service is connected through an adaptor ADP2 to a telephone network 3, and equipped with a dial function and a charging function for a general facsimile 4 or a mail center 5 connected with the telephone network 3. Then, a charge managing part requests a using charge calculation to the center 5, receives the result, and sums up the using charge. The above mentioned circuit is checked by an alarm function, and when an abnormality is not detected, whether or not the original is set is checked by a detecting sensor. When the original is not set, a transmission control system button is locked, and the transmission is not operated. Then, the inconvenient charge can be prevented when the original is not transmitted while a communication line is established. Thus, the inconvenient charging of the facsimile 1 which charges by using a communicating time as a reference can be reduced.
