PURPOSE: To prevent reduction in a bit error rate by providing a subcarrier level correction section in a communication equipment of multicarrier modulation system so as to correct a level of a subcrrier.

CONSTITUTION: A detection section 2 receiving a 16QAM modulation wave whose carrier number is 4 or the like separates the wave into in-phase and quadrature components for each subcarrier. Then a subcarrier level correction section 3 detects a level difference between subcarriers to correct a level of each subcarrier. Thus, fixed distortion between multi-carriers not resulting from fading is eliminated and the wrong bit error rate is prevented with simple configuration not requiring provision of an equalizer or the like to a receiver.
