Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To include a plurality of power sources in hybrid vehicles to provide highly cost effective operation.SOLUTION: There are provided failure detection and response system and process (method) that can be used for a pump, for example a pump or motor, used in a hybrid vehicles. The failure detection system determines that a predetermined operation state, that is, an operation state affecting an adequate operation of the system has occurred. The response system takes appropriate measures upon activation of a failure state. The failure detection and response system and process include a system to detect different types of leaks, malfunction of sensors, or operation errors.
