Abstract:
To enhance accuracy in failure diagnosis of a cylinder internal pressure sensor.SOLUTION: A failure diagnosis device 100 for a cylinder internal pressure sensor includes a cylinder internal pressure sensor SW6, and a diagnosis section 111. The diagnosis section 111 includes an operation state determination section 1111 for determining that an engine continues steady operation for a prescribed period, an estimation section 1114 for estimating a pressure in a combustion chamber at after-top timing delayed by a specified crank angle with respect to a compression top dead center, a reading section 1113 for reading a signal of the cylinder internal pressure sensor at the after-top timing, and a failure determination section 1112 for determining the failure of the cylinder internal pressure sensor on the basis of the comparison between the pressure estimated by the estimation section 1114 and the value of the signal read by the reading section 1113.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13B
