Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make a handwritten manuscript easy to read by reforming characters on the handwritten manuscript and its slanting lines through simple circuit constitution. CONSTITUTION:Frames are written for every lines of handwritten manuscript 1 and while those frames are detected by frame detecting circuit 4, scanning circuit part 3 takes a scan to store picture elements of characters, scanned by the circuit part 3, in the 1st memory circuit part 6. The picture elements stored in this circuit part 6 are read out in the direction perpendicular to the write direction and then stored in the 2nd memory circuit part 8. When the picture elements are read out from this circuit part 6 and transferred to memory circuit part 8, inter-gap detecting circuit part 5 detects an interval between characters to consider picture elements up to where no element resides exceeding the character interval to be one character, and virtual center line detecting circuit part 7 detects the virtual center line of the character and reforms characters handwritten on manuscript 1 and its slanting lines to make handwritten manuscript 1 eacy to read, thereby printing characters out by print part 9.
