Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce an excessive transmission rate and to perform excellent quality page generation by charging a transmission rate in the case that an error is higher than respective threshold values suited to the transmission speed and a facsimile resolution at present and also changing the respective threshold values corresponding to the new transmission rate. CONSTITUTION: When transmitting communication from a facsimile equipment 100 to the facsimile machine 200, a modem 5 is used and signals for indicating respective code words are demodulated and outputted to a scanning line decoder 10. In the decoder 10, compression/compression cancellation algorithm like a run length coding method is used corresponding to the reception of the word and compression to the word is canceled. An error checking device is incorporated in the decoder 10 and whether or not the error is present in a scanning line is checked. When the error is present, it is sent to a CPU 20, the scanning line is eliminated from an internal memory so as not to print the scanning line to the decoder 10 and error signals are sent to an error tracking circuit 15.
