Abstract:

To prevent falling of portable equipment or firearms, destruction of devices, data dissipation or falling of firearms caused by unusual handling, and discharge and the like caused by impact due to user's carelessness.

A fall-detecting means is provided so as to control and change the condition of a device into a safe condition, by receiving falling detection signal from the fall detecting means, when the body falls. The fall-detecting means comprises an acceleration sensor, a means of computing acceleration based on the output of the sensor, and a fall deciding means for deciding agravity state, in comparison with a predetermined value, in such a way that when it is larger than the predetermined value, it is decided as being falling, and a prevention signal is output.
