PURPOSE: To prevent damage to the covering film of a dam by a method in which a reinforcing layer made of long metal materials of fibrous, cord or wire form is integrally formed on at least a part of the periphery of the covering film of the falling dam made of a flexible film.
CONSTITUTION: A rubberized cloth 3 is formed by integrally bonding a rubber layer 2 to a nylon fabrics, and a reinforcing layer 6 formed by coating a metal fiber 4 with a rubber 5 is integrally formed on the periphery of the rubberized cloth 3. In this case, the reinforcing layer 6 used may be one lined with a steel cord formed by weaving metal fibers with filling yarns into tire fabric form, or with a metal netting. By this, a falling dam made of a flexible film, having excellent cutting resistance, can be obtained.
