PURPOSE: To manufacture easily a falling-off preventing needle while maintaining a present column needle which is popularized generally as it is or by only working it slightly, reduce the number of parts so as to manufacture it at low cost, and prevent its falling-off certainly, and also eliminate invasion of rain and the like perfectly.

CONSTITUTION: A falling-off preventing needle 1 is formed in such constitution that one-side ends of a plurality of engaging piece 5 having elastic property are fixed on the outer circumferential surface near the pointed end 3 of a needle barrel body 4, and its top end is in such condition as not, in contact with the needle barrel body 4. A water repellent member 16 is laid so as to cover the whole from the needle head side of the needle barrel body 4 to the pointed end 3 including a locking member 12, or a part thereof.
