Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling-off preventing device for a fastening nut for preventing the fastening nut screwed to a bolt from loosening due to vibration or the like and falling off from the bolt.SOLUTION: A falling-off prevention device is for a fastening nut 2 to be screwed onto a bolt 3. The falling-off prevention device comprises a cylindrical body 4 having a bolt through hole 41 at the center, and a coil spring 5 housed in the bolt through hole. The coil spring has a coil portion 51 to be screwed onto a male screw 3a of the bolt, and one end portion 52 extending from one side of the coil portion toward the other side and parallel to an axial direction and the other end portion 53 extending from the other side of the coil portion toward the one side and parallel to the axial direction, at a position outside the coil portion. In an inner peripheral wall 41a of the bolt through hole, a first vertical groove 42 is formed axially, and a second vertical groove 43 is formed at a position opposite to the first vertical groove. The one end portion of the coil spring is disposed in the first vertical groove so as to be movable in the axial direction and restricted in movement in the circumferential direction, and the other end portion of the coil spring is disposed in the second vertical groove in a non-contact state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
