Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a slide-falling preventive mechanism for a wall surface traveling robot capable of safely traveling on the wall surface or ceiling surface, etc., of a building without the possibility of slide-falling.
CONSTITUTION: When a wall surface traveling robot travels along on a wall surface A, it travels keeping a parallel attitude always, and moreover the inside of a moving suction board 6 is demarcated into plural suction chambers 28 by partitioning. By constituting this mechanism so that suction action at the time of operating a vacuum generation device can be independently acted to the respective suction chambers 28 via respective moving suction pipes connecting the respective suction chambers 28 individually, even suction action in any suction chamber 28 is lowered, adverse effect such as lowering suction force is never exerted on the suction action in the other suction chamber 28, and the respective moving suction cups of the wall surface traveling robot can be strongly attracted to a wall surface A to travel without the slide-falling of the wall surface traveling robot from the wall surface A.
