Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce noise, by making a distance between a fan and a danger preventing guard disposed at an upstream of the fan greater than 20% of an effective diameter of the fan.
CONSTITUTION: A fan device 3 comprises an object to be cooled 2, a partition 5, a fan 7 mounted through a hole 6, a guard 8 disposed at an upstream of the fan and having slit-shaped ventilation holes S. A distance Y between the fan and the guard 8 is 0.2X or more of an effective diameter X of the fan 7. Thus, the fan takes in relatively uniform turbulent flow having a uniform flow rate, which can reduce noise caused by the fan device 3 to a small value.
