PURPOSE: To obtain a far infrared ceramic capable of rapidly spreading heat, increasing the temperature of the whole in a short time and efficiently releasing a large quantity of far infrared rays by forming a composite containing active carbon powder, dispersed and mixed in a far infrared ceramic having open cells.
CONSTITUTION: This far infrared ceramic 1 is obtained by dispersing and mixing an active carbon powder 3 in a far infrared ceramic 2 having open cells 4. The mixing ratio of the active carbon powder 3 to the raw material grains 2 of the far infrared ceramic is usually within the range of about 25-75wt.%. This solid fuel 1 is obtained by forming the far infrared ceramic into a prescribed shape. The resultant solid fuel is mixed with charcoal in a grilled- chicken restaurant, etc., and used as a fuel.
