Abstract:
To provide a far-infrared radiation body with high mechanical strength and easy handling and plant growing equipment using the same.SOLUTION: A far-infrared radiation body 20 has a heating element central member 25 that includes a carbon fiber wire 28 as a wire material and an electrically insulating coating member 26 covering the heating element central member 25. Far-infrared radiation is emitted by energizing the carbon fiber wire 28 and heating the carbon fiber wire 28. The heating element central member 25 may have a reinforcing core material 27 that is electrically insulated from the carbon fiber wire 28, is in contact with the carbon fiber wire 28, and extends along the carbon fiber wire 28 to mechanically reinforce the carbon fiber wire 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
