Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a far-side airbag device capable of effectively suppressing a seated passenger from moving to a vehicle center side in a vehicle width direction.SOLUTION: A side airbag 20 of a far-side airbag device 10 comprises: a rear expansion portion 26 expanding and deploying by supply of gas and constraining at least rear portions of the chest and abdomen of a seated passenger; and a front expansion portion 28 expanding and deploying by the supply of gas via a communication portion formed in a demarcation part with the rear expansion portion 26 and constraining at least rear portions of the chest and abdomen of a seated passenger. The side airbag device 20 is fixed to a seatback frame 14F in the rear expansion portion 26. The far-side airbag device 10 includes a tension cloth 24 having a front end connected to the side airbag 20 and a rear end in a vehicle front-rear direction is connected to the seatback frame 14 in a state of receiving a tension and deploying in response to the expansion and deployment of the side airbag 20, and covering at least part of the rear expansion portion 26 in a side view.
