Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fast forwarding and rewinding mechanism which is strong against vibration and whose constituting member smoothly and surely moves.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic recording and reproducing device in which the traveling of a magnetic tape can be performed in two directions, normally and reversely at the time of recording and reproducing, is provided with a fast forwarding mechanism, a rewinding mechanism, an FF lever 9 for instructing fast forwarding, an REW lever 10 for instructing rewinding, a 1st mode plate 20, and a 2nd mode plate 11. The 2nd mode plate 11 is moved to actuate the fast forwarding mechanism and the rewinding mechanism. The FF lever 9, the REW lever 10 and the 2nd mode plate 10 are connected. The 1st mode plate 20 is moved to actuate the fast forwarding mechanism or the rewinding mechanism. Then, the device is provided with a link shaft 8 switching the connection of the FF lever 9 or the REW lever 10 and the 1st mode plate 20. The link shaft 8 is switched corresponding to a tape traveling direction, thereby the fast forwarding action is performed when the lever 9 is moved, and the rewiding action is performed when the lever 10 is moved.
