Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the Doppler effect in the core of U-free metallic fuel reactor.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a fast reactor core fuel assembly 101 used in a fast reactor core for converting TRU comprises: a plurality of fuel elements 121 including a fuel containing TRU to be separated in reprocessing and a base material that is a substantial remainder, and cladding tubes containing the fuel; a plurality of neutron spectrum softening elements 122 including a neutron spectrum softening material for softening neutron energy spectrum, and cladding tubes containing the neutron spectrum softening material; and a wrapper tube 9 containing the fuel elements 121 and the neutron spectrum softening elements 122, having a cylindrical shape, and having openings on both ends thereof.
