PURPOSE: To provide fastening construction and a fastener which can improve workability at fastening and insure stable fixing force.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel delivery pipe is fitted and fixed to an intake manifold 1 by fastening with a fastener 5. At fastening, a hole 6 and a through hole 8 formed in a bracket 4 are aligned with each other, and the bracket 4 is brought in contact with the intake manifold 1. An outer cylinder 11 is inserted through to the through hole 8 and the hole 6 from its extreme end side. At this time, the diameter of the outer cylinder 11 is contracted on the extreme end side, and hence the inserting is not obstructed. Next a push rod 21 is inserted in the outer cylider 11. The extreme end side of the outer cylinder 11 is spread in diameter, engaging projections 13, 14 are engaged with groove parts 7, 9, further projections 15 are engaged with through holes 23, and hence the push rod 21 is fixed to the outer cylinder 11. Consequently, the fastening is possible at one touch, and if there is a space only for inserting the push rod 21, the fastening can easily be carried out.
