To reduce working hours by improving the workability in removing a part protruding from a fastener, in fastening a band-shaped sheet material such as a wristband into a ring shape.
Belt portions 12 and 13 having engagement holes 11 are provided at both ends of the wristband 10. A fastener 1 is structured so as to fasten the belt portions 12 and 13 across a partition 8 with the tips laid on top of one another in opposite directions between a male fastener portion 3 and a female fastener portion 5. The female fastener portion 5 is provided with a cutting blade 9 extending on the side of the partition 8. When the male fastener portion 3 is engaged with the female fastener portion 5, the belt portion 13 inserted between the female fastener portion 5 and the partition 8 is automatically cut by the cutting blade 9. Edge shapes are formed in the outer peripheries of the male fastener portion 3 and the female fastener portion 5 so as to be used as the cutting blades to cut the belt portion 13.
