To provide a fastening band for preventing the leakage of lubricating components from a mounting portion between a mounted member such as an outer ring of a constant velocity universal joint and a mounting member such as a boot mounted thereon even when caulking a lug portion to impart fastening force thereto.
On an inside overlapped portion 32 at a site where its peripheral position corresponds to the lug portion 26, a circular protruded portion 40 is provided which enters a clearance 44 formed between a base 41 of a leg part 27 of the lug portion 26 floating from the inside overlapped portion 33 and the inside overlapped portion 33 by caulking the lug portion 26, to contact the base 41 of the leg part 27. The protruded portion 40 is formed by applying a cut into the inside overlapped portion 32 at the site where its peripheral position corresponds to the lug portion 26 and raising it up on the base side of the leg part 27.
